Honoring Matt Ferry's Legacy: A Vision for Family Stability Driven by Local Leadership
The Ferryman’s House began as a vision from the Honorable Judge Don Word, who recognized the need for a safe, stable place where families could spend meaningful time together. Established in 2025, the center was created in loving memory of Matt Ferry—a man known for his compassion and dedication to helping those in need. Today, his legacy lives on through a space built to serve and strengthen families across Jackson County, providing expert supervision and resources.
